Why You Should Take The B2 English Exam

Take The Cambridge English Course Today And Unlock Opportunities In Studies, Work and Life!

The B2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) represents an upper-intermediate level of mastery of the English language. At this level, you should understand the main ideas in complex texts, interact spontaneously and without difficulty with English speakers, and be able to produce detailed texts on various topics.

Each school can offer you a certificate, but very few certificates have internationally recognized standards, and Cambridge University’s B2 is one of them.

Let Us Help You Prepare

The B2 Entry Test helps you understand if your English level is suitable, but do you know what to expect in the actual exam? We have developed this course to help you prepare for all aspects of the exam. Not only will you master the types of exercises you will face, but you will find all the tools to improve your English in all aspects present in the exam: understanding, writing, listening and conversation.
Just as it is not enough to know how to drive to pass the driving test, it is not enough to know English in order to make sure that you pass the B2 Exam with a good mark. If you know what to expect, how to divide your time between the various exercises, how to deal with a difficulty and the mistakes to avoid absolutely, you will optimize your chances of success. We can help you.

How to carry out the exam:

We will analyze together the entire structure of the exam and carry out each exercise together.

We will start by analyzing each section:

Reading and Use of English

The most full-bodied section of the exam, with seven exercises to analyze. Which exercise gives me the most score? What is the most difficult? Better to leave blank or try fate with the wrong answer? What to do if there are words I don’t know? These are just some of the questions that we will answer in our course.

Listening

Perhaps the most feared part, because it really evaluates how used we are to using and listening to English. Four different exercises, with different levels of difficulty and which must be addressed with different strategies. For example, in the third exercise, it is very important that you already know what information you are looking for before the examiner presses play. We will explain this and much more in this section of the course.

Writing

In this part of the exam, there are only two exercises but we must be sure to respect all the formal rules so as not to sacrifice precious points. For example, in the second exercise, we are offered five different tracks to choose from, and there is always one that we must discard! Do you know what we’re talking about?

Speaking

Although the speaking part can be emotionally stressful because we are faced with two examiners asking us questions, it is actually the easiest section and where we are forgiven for multiple mistakes. Together we will analyze the various stages of the speaking test and we can also look at recorded tests and read the comments of the examiners to give us an increasingly clear idea of what awaits us!

On the Cambridge website, you’ll find a list of vocabulary for this level. This list is a good starting point, but it won’t cover all the vocabulary you should know.

We will start with lists of essential vocabulary to know to approach the exam, which will give you a good starting idea on what to improve.

You will then find a lot of material to reinforce your vocabulary (not only learn new words but also how to use them in “placements”) divided by thematic areas, such as work, family, holidays, health, medicine, home, news.
